Diese Nachricht habe ich am Freitag von dem Couchsurfer in Lillehammer bekommen, den ich ein paar Tage vorher angeschrieben hatte. Er hatte ein recht spärliches Profil, wirkte aber freundlich und war einer von nur wenigen in der Olympiastadt mit ein paar tausend Einwohnern. Ich hatte mich entschlossen die beiden verbleibenden Fahrten auf meinem morgen ablaufenden Interrailticket zu nutzen, um ein bisschen Ski fahren zu gehen.
Zuvor jedoch war ich am Freitagmorgen – den ich mir nach ein paar Überstunden freinehmen konnte, mit ein paar Kollegen Schlitten fahren an einem hohen Berg in Oslo. Anstatt einer normalen Schlittenbahn gibt es dort eine über 2 km lange, steile und mit diversen Sicherheitsgegenständen ausgestattete Piste. Auf dem Berg kann man sich besondere Schlitten ausleihen, auf deren beiden Metallschienen man vorne die Füße auflegt und durch Druck lenken kann. Der Sitz ist aus einer Art Stoff und das ganze ist gewissermaßen gefedert. Die Umgewöhnung daran und die hohe Geschwindigkeit hat ein wenig gedauert, war aber nachher mit meinen Kollegen umso spaßiger.
Am Freitag Abend bin ich dann schließlich gen Lillehammer gestartet und dort kurz vor 2 angekommen – weil Michael noch arbeiten musste. Er hat mich dann auch vom Bahnhof abgeholt und die Beschreibung hat wunderbar gepasst. Die Apfelbäume haben im tiefen Schnee sogar noch Äpfel getragen und das Haus war klein und super gemütlich. Am Samstag war ich dann lange in der Nähe des Olympiaparks in den Wäldern Skifahren und konnte nebenher gelegentlich den Experten beim Training auf der großen Ski-Schanze zusehen. Das Wetter war wieder ausgesprochen gut – blauer Himmel, Sonne. Mit den Langlaufski habe ich noch ein wenig Schwierigkeiten beim Bremsen im Pflug und so kommt es immer wieder vor, dass die norwegischen Kinder auf der Abfahrt mit einem halsbrecherischen Tempo an mir vorbeiziehen und mir fragende Blicke zuwerfen. Manche Kinder scheinen schon mit Skiern geboren zu sein. Wenn sie übrigens noch zu klein sind werden sie in Norwegen in extra vorgefertigten Schlitten mitgezogen – ähnlich wie bei uns ein Fahrradanhänger. Nur gefährlicher…
Den Abend habe ich mit Michael und seiner Band auf einem Konzertabend verbracht. Viele Künstler waren da und von der Band hätte ich in der kleinen Stadt nicht erwartet etwas besonders herausragendes zu hören – wurde aber mehr als positiv überrascht. Alles gute Musiker mit viel Spaß auf der Bühne und herausragender Technik. Michael selbst schreibt wirklich beeindruckende Songs. Und so haben wir am selben Abend noch ein paar Bier getrunken, jede Menge Musik gemacht+gehört und waren in nem Pub in der “Stadt” Biliard spielen. Die Musikgeschichte haben wir am nächsten Tag noch fortgesetzt – dazu noch was schönes gekocht und die weitere zeit mit sonntäglich zünftigem Rumgammeln verbracht. Nach einem weiteren intensiven Wochenende läuft die Arbeit wieder umso mehr und ich spare schon jetzt ein paar Stunden um mal wieder einen Freitag freizunehmen.
Letzte Woche hatte ich abends Hunger – mal wieder, und dann schließlich bemerkt dass ich nichts mehr zu essen hatte – 5 Minuten vor 22 Uhr. Also schnell aus dem Haus gerannt und in den Supermarkt gegenüber, um noch schnell ein Brot, etwas Käse und Dosensalmonfilet zu kaufen – mein derzeitiges Standard-Abendessen. Auf dem Weg zur Kasse passierte ich das Süßigkeitenregal und hatte schon ziemlich Appetit. Also schnell eine Tüte mit übergroßen, sympathisch aussehenden Schokoladenbären geschnappt und bezahlt. Musste dann feststellen, dass mich die 300 Gramm fast 5€ gekostet haben und wie ich ja schon ausreichend beklagt habe das wieder eines dieser teuren Sachen ist. Norwegen ist ein Land mit hohen Steuern – aber nicht völlig zufälligen. Die Geschichte mit dem Alkohol ist schon bekannt – das Volk arbeitet besser wenns nicht soviel trinkt. Nebenbei werden aber wie ich inzwischen weiß auch hohe Steuern auf Süßigkeiten und ungefähr 100% Mehrwertsteuer auf Autos verhängt – damit sie weniger benutzt werden. Gemüse wird dagegen fast von Steuer befreit – ein wenig ähnlich wie bei uns, nur viel extremer. Nach der ganzen Lektion habe ich dann zuhause die besagten sympathischen Bären inspiziert und musste feststellen, dass es sich um massive Marshmallow-Tiere handelt, welche mit Schokolade überzogen sind – unfassbar süß.
